Ms. Cécile Figus PhD student of the Doctoral School of the US,was selected to be part of the biostratigraphy team, as the diatom expert!

In April, Ms. Cécile Figus PhD student of the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin took part in Workshop 1 of the 21st Century Drilling MagellanPlus series. She was selected to be part of the biostratigraphy team, as the diatom expert. The workshop took place from 8 to 12 April at the BCR and MARUM (University of Bremen) in Germany. The project aims to re-analyse sediment cores from the Miocene (~23 to ~5 Ma [millions of years]), drilled in the South Atlantic, to develop digital drilling and refine the study of legacy material.
