West Pomeranian Doctoral Students Ball
We would like to inform you that on June 14, 2024, the West Pomeranian Doctoral Student Ball was held in the banquet hall at 33 European Street.
For the first time, four doctoral student councils joined in the organization of the Ball: University of Szczecin, West Pomeranian University of Technology, Pomeranian Medical University and the Maritime University of Technology. The event was organized in cooperation with the West Pomeranian Association of Doctoral Students. During the official part of the event, participants had the opportunity to hear, among others, a letter from Dariusz Wieczorek – the Minister of Science, who unfortunately could not attend the Ball, the Authorities of the Universities of the University of Szczecin, the West Pomeranian University of Technology, the Maritime University of Technology, and the Chairwoman of the West Pomeranian Doctoral Student Agreement.
The West Pomeranian Doctoral Students’ Ball was not only an opportunity to celebrate together, but also to recognize those who have particularly contributed to the promotion and development of our Universities. Therefore, during the Ball, awards were presented to Administrative Employees for their commitment and active activities for Doctoral Students. Doctoral students also received awards for active activities among Doctoral Students for the benefit of the academic community.
During the Ball, as every year, graduates who received their doctoral degrees in the 2023/24 academic year were present – all of those present received wishes for further success and prosperity, and were honored for their commitment, work and efforts made in their academic development. The gifts were presented by Dr. Katarzyna Kotarska, Prof. US – Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at the University of Szczecin.
The culmination of the official part of the West Pomeranian Doctoral Ball was a performance by a jazz band, which put the guests in a great mood.
