“Meeting with a Practitioner” – Dr. Karol Nasiłowski

On April 22, 2024, the eighth event in the “Meeting with a Practitioner” series, organized by the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin, took place.

 

The guest of the meeting was Dr. Karol Nasiłowski – a double bassist, soloist, and principal bassist at the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic in Szczecin, as well as an academic teacher leading the double bass class at the Academy of Art in Szczecin.

 

During the conversation, Dr. Karol Nasiłowski  introduced the participants to the world of music. He revealed the behind-the-scenes of a musician’s work, both in an #artistic and #academic context (including his doctoral studies in music), showing how many similarities exist between the work of a musician and a researcher. Dr. Karol Nasiłowski emphasized the importance of planning one’s future career and building good relationships with others. With this thought, he left the meeting participants.
