Baltic Climate Centre with Doctoral School PhD Student
We are proud to announce that within the new interdisciplinary research group at the University of Szczecin – Baltic Climate Centre, PhD Student of Doctoral School,
mgr Kamran Tanwari (Institute of Marine and Environmental Sciences) takes part.
Baltic Climate Centre contributes to monitoring, modelling and attribution of climate change impacts at many spatial scales.
The Director of this unit is dr Dominik Paprotny, the owner of the prestigous grant of the European Research Council – ERC, titled:
Flood Adaptation under Climate Change with the European Socio-Hydrological Model (EuroSoHo).
The team, under the supervision of the Director of Institute, dr hab. Paweł Terefenko, prof. US, is taking part in Europe’s largest geoscience conference, EGU2026, that will take place in Vienna on May 3-8.
The title of our PhD Student mgr Kamran Tanwari presentation during EGU2026 is: Explainable deep learning based decadal shoreline forecasting in the Southern Baltic.
