Two published research publications in Cosmology

PhD Student of Doctoral School, mgr Pranav Prasanthan (Institute of Physics), issued recently two research publications.

Both papers were co-authored with Auxiliary supervisor Dr. Hussain Gohar and supervisor Prof. dr. hab. Vincenzo Salzano from the Institute of Physics.

1. Modified Cosmology from Mass-to-Horizon Relation: Background Evolution

Journal: Physics Letters B, Volume 880 (2026), Article 140778.

2. Modified Cosmology from Mass-to-Horizon Relation: Observational Bounds

Journal: Journal of Cosmology and Astro particle Physics, JCAP 10 (2026) 055.

Building on the theoretical framework developed in the first paper, this study tests the modified cosmological models against various observations.
Their results show that current observations place strong constraints on possible deviations from standard horizon thermodynamics.
Although some models can partially alleviate the Hubble tension, which refers to the discrepancy between different measurements of the Universe’s expansion rate, none fully resolves it. Overall, the observational evidence continues to favour the standard cosmological model.

We are proud of our PhD Student and Institute of Physics.
