The competition for doctoral students at the University of Szczecin

The West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in cooperation with the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Social Development operating at the Doctoral School of the University of Szczecin, is organizing a competition for doctoral students at the University of Szczecin for scientific achievements in the field of social sustainability.

The Award is open only to those studying at the Doctoral School or at the doctoral program of the University of Szczecin and the topics of their submitted scientific works should be related to social sustainability. Social sustainability is the approach of designing social development for future generations, considering the needs of residents who have so far been overlooked or discriminated against in the process. Research papers (or monographs) should aim to promote an inclusive society capable of responding in a sustainable manner to environmental, social and economic threats.

Scientific works by authors or multi-authors, published in Polish or English within 2 years prior to the date of the competition announcement, are submitted to the competition. Articles in scientific journals (including those published as online first/first view) and monographs are considered only.

The application form (including, among other things, a justification of the relationship of published works to the topic of social sustainability) should be sent to chairoffice@usz.edu.pl by November 30, 2023.  The application should also include works in electronic version (preferred format: pdf)

The entity responsible for the implementation of the Competition is the UNESCO Chair for Sustainable Social Development. For more information, including the application form and the rules of the competition, please visit the Doctoral School website.
