Start kolejnej edycji naboru SGroup PhD Cup na 2025 rok!

On behalf of the Coordinators of the SGroup Think Tank for Doctoral Education, we are delighted to announce the launch of the 2025 edition of the SGroup PhD Cup!

What is the SGroup PhD Cup?

This initiative is designed to enhance PhD candidates’ communication skills through a competition based on the 3-Minute Thesis pitch model. Participants will benefit from a fully funded online training on rhetoric and research communication.

The PhD Cup consists of:

  • An online training phase, where PhD students will receive expert coaching in research communication.
  • A video submission round, where participants will compete by presenting their research concisely and the top 10 will be selected.
  • A live final in Szeged, Hungary, where the top five finalists will be funded by their own institution to present their pitch before the SGroup General Assembly.
  • The winner will receive a PhD Mobility Grant of up to €1,000 awarded by SGroup to support research abroad at an institution of their choice.

Who Can Apply?

  • Applicants must be formally enrolled in a PhD programme at an SGroup member or associate university (Graduates or Master students are not eligible).
  • PhD candidates who are not in the initial neither the final stage of their PhD (they must already have some results to communicate and must still be enrolled in October 2025).
